HDSB students and staff are invited to read Finding Winnie by Canadian author Lindsay Mattick. This award-winning book explores Lindsay’s family’s unique connection to the world’s most famous bear, Winnie-the-Pooh. Born in Winnipeg, Lindsay is the great-granddaughter of Captain Harry Colebourn, the veterinarian who rescued the baby bear during World War I.

Students may watch the official book trailer, engage with interactive reader activities , and participate in one of the contests (details at hdsbreads.ca).  Last year’s book trailer winners (Pineland students Maddy and Michaela) are featured on this year’s promotional poster!

Finale on Thursday, March 9th, 2017 with Lindsay Mattick!
